Caring for your Poinsettias
A few simple tips will keep your poinsettias happy this winter:
Keep your poinsettias in bright, indirect light.
If the soil is dry to the touch, then it's time for a drink.
Keep the temperature between 60-70°F. Poinsettias do not like cold drafts.
If you are interested in keeping your poinsettias going, follow this timeline set out by the University of Minnesota. Your poinsettias will get the best care throughout the year and ‘rebloom’ in December.
And if you are concerned about whether or not it is safe to have poinsettias in your home, the Poison Control center reassures us that they are NOT poisonous. You can enjoy having these beautiful plants in your home with peace of mind!
